Nancy PELOSI:The wind beneath her wings...A NEW JUMBO JET!!! HA!

With the job of Speaker of the House comes the use of a small jet aircraft which all former speakers used for travel in the conduct of normal congressional business, as well as traveling to and from their residences. Because this small jet had to be refueled, requiring an additional landing and takeoff, Speaker Nancy Pelosi became so aggravated she ordered a nice new 200-seat jumbo jet which could fly nonstop from D.C. to the West Coast. God knows what the price was, but the cost of a one-way trip home is $60,000. A round-trip once a week would be $120,000. And that's just for three days work, since Monday and Friday are travel days. The cost of flight crews, attendants, supplies, security, etc., is not yet known to the public. It has been projected that the annual cost for her jumbo jet to be ready 24/7 is $5,760,000. Somehow the speaker had the guts to complain about what Republicans spent on Sarah Palin's wardrobe for the campaign. Worse, she then makes those wonderful speeches on how we should not be such gluttons, and learn to make sacrifices such as car-pools, smaller cars, and alternative fuels. I am sure you feel her pain when making those trips back and forth from the Capitol to California.........NOT!!!
